Dear Jim,

 

I have worked at my current job in the food service industry for more than three years. Prior to that I was in retail. The companies that I have worked have treated me well enough but it has always been more important to me to have time to spend with my family and live a life outside of striving for a career.

 

As a young person I had made some poor decisions in managing my credit. I had worked with some credit counseling agencies to improve my credit and they did in fact help somewhat. The problem was that I had never owned my own home and I was feeling the need to have a foundation for our own family. We were living with relatives which was fine but I wasn't able to set things just the way we would prefer them.. So I began to check out the possibilities.

I did continue to work with my credit and spoke to some real estate and mortgage people about what I could do and even looked at a couple of homes but I came back to you maybe because I got the feeling that you would be able to help me and solve my dilemma.

 

And I was not disappointed.

I have lived in Kitsap County all my life. When you do that you get to know a lot of people really well so naturally I know a lot of real estate agents and loan officers. Even though I had met with you many months before on a lease to own proposal when we reviewed my situation and the progress I had made because you were both a real estate broker and a loan originator you were able to put together both the financing package and the plan to get me a great deal. You were careful to always explain to me what the real reasons were for why the homebuying process seemed so complicated and my confidence in your ability to help me grew because of that.

 

I was particularly concerned about getting the best deal and we looked at a huge number of available homes. Even though you showed me that it was buyer's market it was a shock to me that when I found a home that I liked and seemed to be priced right that when we made an offer someone else came along and made a better offer to take it away from me. The data that you provided me gave us the ability to really understand what a good deal would look like when we found it.

 

The end result was that I bought a newer home that appraised $15,000 higher than our purchase price and we were able to finance 100% of the purchase price, closing costs and pre-paid expenses with a very affordable interest rate. Wow, what a deal! Instant equity for us.

 

I really appreciate the time and effort you spent to educate us on how to succeed and the end result was outstanding. I actually learned enough to think about doing some real estate investing sometime in the future.

 

I would highly recommend you to anyone else seeking to buy or finance a home or real estate investment. I can't imagine how they could do any better. Thank you.
